“A tribe is a group of people connected to one another, connected to a leader, and connected to an idea. For millions of years, human beings have been part of one tribe or another. A group needs only two things to be a tribe: a shared interest and a way to communicate.” - Seth Godin
This quote sums up how I feel in regards to this website. What started as a way to promote my documentary "Life In The Bus Lane" has since morphed into a community of people sharing the same interest and communicating. Everything from how to find a school bus for sale to advice on what heat source to install.
But there's a problem with the website and it's content. That problem is me. I alone can't write all the blog articles and cover the topics that need to be shared and discussed. We consume information at a speed faster then my brain could ever keep up with. Because of this problem I have realized that I need to start calling on members of my tribe to lend a hand. To continue to be a community. To ask them to give back to the very website that may have helped them take the plunge into becoming a skoolie.
Below are members of my tribe. No, let me rephrase that. They are members of our tribe. A tribe that automatically welcomes people regardless of their race, ethnicity, where they are on the sexual spectrum, how much money they make or who they voted for. A tribe that is thinking differently and has no set mold to which they will be forced into.
